Arizona State Fair

We went to the Arizona State Fair and after going to the San Diego County (Del Mar) Fair I have to say it was horribly disappointing. There were no exhibit halls with cool toys, kitchen gadgets and cleaners. How sad. the food was equally fatty and greasy, but not as good, and there were no good shows to watch. So we walked around, ate part of some food, and watched a dare devil show, that had a guy who swallowed swards and a girl who held a snake, then took a sleeping Mia on the Carousel, and went home. Well, I guess now we know.

Hangin' at Grandma & Grandpa Sirrines

My Mom and her sisters always come to AZ to see their mom ( my grandma) for her Birthday So we had a little mini reunion.

Nate moved to AZ for a minute so we got to see him, that was nice, because we don't get to see him very often. He lives in Utah now, so we may see him less now. Oh No!

My Mom Came a day early to spend time with us. We went to IKEA, can you believe my mom has never been! Good thing she has me around to introduce her to wonderful things like IKEA.

Aunt Sue is my Mom's oldest Sister and she just loves Mia, she has one Grandson of her own so she has a lot of practice talking to babies. Mia really likes her.

We live so close yet we don't get to see Grandma Sirrine as often as we would like.

Happy 82nd Birthday!

Grandpa Sirrine Broke his hip in March helping a neighbor boy with a runaway ball then had a massive heart attach while he was in the hospital. Since then he has had 4 stints put in his heart to keep that arteries open, and a gazillion doctors appointments later he now has a defibrillator somewhere in his chest to help keep his heart pumping. He is doing amazingly well (he even took time to spend with Mia)and we are so grateful for that. Through all of this my Grandma has been an amazing example of selfless service. We are so grateful to their ward members for taking such good care of them through all of this. The church is a great thing!

Hayes Family Vacation

The Hayes family came to visit us for a week we all stayed in our little apartment so it was a little crowded, but fun. We did a lot of fun stuff like hiking and feeding the ducks at the pond (sorry I didn'tget pics. of those - Julie has some really cute ones

though) so here are some of the highlights of our week with the Hayes.

We camped at the Grand Canyon, it started with us getting there super late and spotting a small fire in the trees, so we pulled over and Dan & Lance being the Great Boy Scouts that they are took a few bottles of water and put the fire out, a cop pulled over just to make sure every thing was OK and we found out that it was a controlled burn to help control all the extra growth. Thanks for the help guys! So we got there and it got soooo cold at night (into the 30's) and we were horribly unprepared for that, then we went to the grand canyon and Mia slept through the whole thing so we woke her up to take this one picture. I wish we would have taken a group picture but we didn't. bummer. Obviously we ate a lot of food. Here is Dan helping Aubrey make a PB&J sandwich. I thought this was cute and just had to take a picture.

We went to the park and this is one of the only picture I had on my camera, because Mia pretty much slept in the stroller through our whole visit to the park. The rest of the pictures I took were with Julie's camera and I was quite proud of those pics. too they were so good, but I don't have them so here is Mia and I on the swings.

Bath Time! this is Mia's first community bath. We love the bumbo, it can go anywhere! I don't care about the recall. anything can be dangerous on an elevated surface, just be careful.

Conference Weekend

The Hayes family also came to watch Conference with us. It was nice to see them. Aubry and Austin were so cute with Mia. Especially Aubrey, She wanted to hold her all the time. It was really cute.

We really got to enjoy the sunday sessions of conference because everyone wanted to play with Mia so, we didn't have to entertain her. Here she is with her Auntie Cody.

We decided we would surprise our families over conference weekend with a surprise visit. We had a really good time with the Thorson family and friends. Here is Mia with Grandma & Grandpa Thorson.

Getting caught

Do you see that pepper grinder? Well I was cooking dinner one night and Mia was sitting on the table in the bumbo as you see there. She reached over and knocked over the pepper grinder I thought it was cute, her first time playing with something she wasn't supposed to be touching, so of course I went over and set it back up again, this happened 4 times then when I tried to get it on video, she would not touch it when she knew I was looking. tricky little girl! and check out her Buddha boobs she really chunkin' out.
