I Know I'm Running Behind

I have a thousand (OK, not a thousand, but enough to hear a nagging in the back of my head) things to blog about, but not enough time to do the whole putting the pictures on my computer and blah, blah, blah. You know the drill. So this is a post promising posts about the following things:

• all my craftiness - there are a lot of things, I'm really proud
• 12 days of Christmas - my visiting teachers are doing it for me
• Anniversary trip to Sedona (awesome!)
• Trip to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, & the rock dwellers
• Car accident

I'll get started soon!

I suppose it's time for another post

It seems like we have been so busy the last few weeks. It seems like usually when people don't blog for an extended period it's usually because they are having a rough time. That has not been the case here. What has happened is, I have discovered a love of being crafty. Along with this newly discovered love comes big messes, several trips to the hobby lobby, and very Little free time for blogging, it seems like the time that I used to spend blogging (during Mia's naps and after she goes to bed) is now spent making things. I'll post pictures later, but, I've made some Christmas decorations, & I'm making a few peoples Christmas gifts & some birthday presents. I've done a few things in Mia's room. I love it! I just wish I had some extra money lying around for a few things like; a vinyl cutting machine, (I'm not sure if that's what its' called, but do you know what I"m talking a bout?) A router (lance may get this one for Christmas, he wants one too, so don't tell him, he never looks at this blog) and just a few other odds and ends like more paints (spray & acrylic), better brushes, more scrapbook paper, more ribbon, etc. I'm finding that it is not always cheaper to make your own home decor, but it is more fun.

Enough about me, I know you aren't really interested in what I'm up to, you just want to hear about Mia, so here is what she has been up to. She has been such a good helper lately, she loves to take her dirty diapers to the trash outside, she likes to help me put clothes in the washer & dryer, she likes to help me fold the clean clothes,(I really wish she didn't like this one just yet it probably triples the time this would normally take) When ever I sweep the kitchen floor she gets out the swiffer & helps me. She is such a good helper, I just can't wait until her desire to be helpful is actually helpful. In the mean time I fully encourage & appreciate her unhelpful helpfullness. I LOVE THIS GIRL!

Election day has passed...

Yay, Prop 201 passed & the definition of Marriage will remain as being between one man & one woman. I am so grateful to all of those who worked so hard for it to pass. The issue wasn't as heated here in AZ as it was in CA so I just want to say that I am so proud of all my family members & friends who were strong enough & courageous enough to endure the hate & criticism that came with standing up for what is right. I am proud of you and I admire you even more.

I do have to say though, as I was watching the election results come in my stomach was in knots & when it became clear that Obama was going to take it, my heart sank & I thought I might vomit. But as the night went on and I listened to the speeches, (especially John McCain's) and other news reports, I decided I would allow myself to be bummed for that night, then it would be back to business as usual.

I am proud to be an American. I am proud that I was able to witness the first African American president be elected, even if I don't share the same political views as he does, what a great piece of history to be able to take part in. I hope every one else has been able to find peace with our country's current situation too.

Thank you for your concern

A while a go I was doing a tag on my blog & mentioned some fatigue/sleep issues I have. Some people expressed concern & urged me to see a doctor. I have an appointment on Wednesday at 3:30. I'm going to specifically ask to have my thyroid & liver tested. I'll keep you posted on if I have any thing wrong with me or maybe I'm just doomed to be tired for the rest of my life.

I think Mia liked the parachute the best. This isn't the best picture, but it's the best I have. 4. a key ring with all my rewards cards on it, I hate having those things on my keys, so I keep them separate.

6. a small container with honey wheat crackers in it for Mia of course

7. 3 types of lip stuff. 1-cherry chap stick 2-love potion Jones soda chap stick & 3-sheer strawberry conditioning lip shine from bath & body works (I love it, it's super shiny)

8. a disposable table topper, it is a place mat that sticks to the table at restaurants & stuff for babies

9. a bibster aka a disposable bib.

10. a diaper & wipes bag thingy (that I made, I['m so proud of it)

11. one size 4 diaper (Huggies)

12. a wipe holder w/ plenty of wipes in it.

13. $5.54 in change!

14. check book

15. 3 pens, black, green & blue

16. A hide-a-key that is supposed to be under my car somewhere, but hasn't made it there.

17. Dove cream oil lotion

18. Pad of lined paper

19. twist up crayons for times when I need Mia to sit still like church (mostly).

Holy Cow that's a lot, I have recently switched from carrying a diaper bag around to just carrying a purse. someday I will be able to get rid of a lotof that junk. Maybe.
